I purchased the company from my family in 1979 and have been running it ever since. I basically took a small, four man company and turned it into the group of companies which includes Cicogna Electric & Sign Company, Pioneer Sign, and Northeast Awning, which employs both directly and indirectly over 180 employees. Cicogna Electric & Sign Company continues to grow both in manufacturing and in service and installation capabilities. We are constantly expanding our manufacturing area and fleet to meet all of our customers needs both on a sub contractor basis for larger companies and for individual end-user companies that require large rollouts on a short time basis. Our company has handled several hundred to several thousand location rollouts in both manufacturing and installation.We also have a sales, service, and installation facility in Erie, Pa. We are presently working on additional sales offices in Richmond, VA, Buffalo, NY and Miami, FL. We continue to look forward to the future, to maintain our existing relationships and develop more relationships with companies that have needs of timely performance and quality products. Many of the large national sign companies rely on Cicogna Electric & Sign Company for professional, timely installation. To serve our own clients as well as other sign manufacturers, we have built a service and installation fleet consisting of: vans, pick-ups, flat beds, steel trucks, bucket trucks and man-lift vehicles, and cranes ranging from 65 to 130 feet. We work both regionally and across the country, with a number of "national" crews on the road for weeks at a time.
